Reactek Shocks - Eckler`s -C3

Hello. I just recieved the shocks I ordered from Eckler`s that are advertised as Reactek Shocks but I believe they are the Road Response Shocks. The #`s on the boxes are 530-4(rear) & 530-315(front). I think the #`s for the Reactek`s are 560-50 & 51. I opened one of the fronts and don`t think they look very original with the tapered ends. Anyone have these installed and have an opinion on their performance? I did pay for the Reactek`s and will probably send them back. I`ve also heard the Reactek`s are discontinued. Thanks.

The Reactecs, Delco #560-50 and 51 are discontinued and are now difficult to locate.The 530 series shocks are now the only thing out there in the Delco line for standard suspension 63-82 Corvettes. Although they are significantly different in configuration to the originals (or, the Reactecs), they are as close as you're going to get in a replacement shock. No one should see the configuration difference on the top of the front shocks----it's too high in the shock tower for "visual access". The rest of the shock is close to original and the rears are, generally, close to original. As I say, certainly as close as you're going to get. I'd recommend using them. I think they'll be fine.

I was able to purchase one set of reactek shocks from gmpartsdirect.com. (I can't remember if it was the front or rears I got from them). The other pair I got locally from someone that was able to order delco shocks. I'll check tomorrow, and let you know which ones I got from which source,

Joe - are the F41 front and rear Reactecs gone too? Just curious, I bought a set for my 67 2 years ago, but my 66 needs a set, and I don't have the P/N's handy. Thx!....Craig

The F-41 front shocks are discontinued and replaced by the "Road Response"-series shocks.

GM still shows the Reactec front shocks to be available. However, I don't think that they are. I think that if you order these from a GM dealer you will likely get the "Road Response"-series as a supercession.

To my knowledge, there is only 1 version of the Reactek's, i.e. no specific base vs. F-41 version.

In any event, I believe I bought the last 6 rears two weeks ago.
